I bought a Slater Sifi "tomo" with my tax return, what a mistake soulless garbage. I think it said made in taiwan on it. Embarrassing, sold it got an arrow big improvment !! The arrow was too small but worked good, craigslisted a Wierdo ripper, not all it was crackedup to be. Then I talked to Geoff and bought a board out of his van at the Lane. Now I'm all dialed in with an Epoch Board!!

Wow! This is such a cool video. I wish I could afford to buy a custom board for my daughter. She is 12 and surfs almost every day. She moved over to a short board about a month ago. She's on a 5'4" and wants to go shorter. She wants to surf competitively. She surfed all last year, even in the rain, cold, dark (dawn patrol). Sometimes we were the only people at the beach. This is a great video. Thanks!

Great video and I understand your perspective, but something else to consider is why people (myself included) have purchased factory boards. In my case it was because of price and quality. Where I live, local shapers charged $1000 for a surfboard which prevented many from purchasing their product. Now with less expensive boards, more kids can be introduced to surfing without their parents having to take out a bank loan to buy a product they might only use a few times.

How come I got an email about this being a video response to my "huge waves at steamer lane" video? because it's not and youtube shows no indication that it ever was lol
